Lauren Howe, LPGA

Tour Division and TC&P Member

Lauren Howe has always been curious about how things, especially life, works. It's no mistake her last name is Howe!

Lauren became a champion at an early age. She was winning golf tournaments by age nine. Her fast track to the LPGA Tour included winning City championships at age 13, state tournaments by age 15, national and international championships by age 16. Lauren graduated from high school a year early so she could have one year of college competition under her belt by the time she was 18 and eligible to try for the tour. She then became the youngest winner of the LPGA Qualifying School. While spending 13 years on tour, Lauren won and had numerous Top 10 finishes.

What has shaped Lauren most from the tour was her exposure to champion's from all facets of life. As Lauren interacted with great athletes, captains of industry, actors, politicians and other successful people, she was always questioning them about what made them successful. While there are many ways to get to the top of your field, certain things kept showing up. Lauren's quest is to continue finding the most effective ways to help people achieve their dreams. She is a great synthesizer of information and an excellent communicator. Lauren's knowledge, heart and humor make her an incredibly fun and effective coach!

Lauren is a Neuro-Linquistic Programming and Neuro-Associative Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Passion Test Facilitator. Lauren was also voted Player of the Year in 1978 & 1983 and Person of the Year in 1983 by the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame.

Scott Wells founded Catch-72 Golf in 2015, and is a Class A member of the PGA of America. He is a U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coach, and maintains his PGA Teaching & Coaching Certification. He is also currently pursuing his PGA Player Development Certification.

Learning under preeminent instructors, including Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher Jason Carbone, has undoubtedly helped shape Scott's teaching knowledge and philosophy. Nevertheless, Scott continues to enhance his teaching style by staying abreast of the latest teaching drills, instructional aids, and trends. He then uses this information to create uniquely effective lesson plans for his students.

In his free time, Scott enjoys playing the game competitively. He has qualified for and played in national events, most recently winning the 2014 Colorado Assistant Professional Match Play Championship.

Andrea NiemierAndrea Pic

Andrea is from Granger, Indiana (near South Bend-home of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish) and started learning how to play golf at the age of 4. She started playing competitive golf at the age of 12 and went on to play all 4 years in high school. She received the most improved award 3 years in a row by shaving an average of 14 strokes off her score each year. She then played all 4 years at Colorado Christian University (CCU), which is what brought her to Denver. It was there that she realized that she didn't want to quit playing competitively after graduation. She applied to the Ladies Professional Golf Association Teaching and Club Professionals (LPGA T&CP) during her 5th year at CCU and received the news that she was accepted in April, a month before graduating. She has completed 2 out of 3 levels required by the LPGA and as soon as she sends in 2 videos of her giving a lesson she will be a Class B Member. She is hoping to complete level 3 within the next year.

Last summer, Andrea worked for the Colorado Golf Association as their Instructional Intern. She helped instruct most of their outreach programs including; Get Golf Ready, Junior and Adult Clinics, LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Clinics, Golf-In-Schools, Special Olympics, PALS, Boy Scouts, Aurora Veterans as well as helping run American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) & Colorado Junior Golf Association (CJGA) tournaments. Currently, she is the Head Girls Golf Coach at Horizon High School and is looking forward to a great season with her girls!

Andrea is passionate about the game of golf and loves to teach people of all ages and playing abilities. She believes this game has so much to offer and so many practical life lessons to be learned. One of her favorite things about golf is that you can never play the same course twice because the conditions are always changing, but that's what makes it so fun! It's always a challenge and you can never stop improving. Golf is truly a game you can play for a lifetime.

Don Wood

Player Mentor                                                                  Image

Don Wood delivers a full game package. His clients rapidly improve across all areas: Putting, Wedge play, Ball Striking/Shot-Making and Course management. His efforts are exclusive to golfers who want to pursue excellence in every aspect of the game for competitive purposes. He does not offer “One-Off” lessons or clinics.Don is a veteran of the golf industry. His background comes from golf equipment design and manufacturing. An engineer, he spent 25 years on the PGA TOUR as a club designer for the best players in the world. His designs were used in the course of winning many Major Championships and tour events by professionals across the various tours. To design such items, one must have a complete understanding of how they are and can be used. As senior designer of Cleveland Golf Company, he revolutionized wedge design. Nearly all modern wedges are byproducts of his design doctrine by introducing the concept of “NET BOUNCE”. He is also recognized as an early pioneer of digital and electronic fitting using launch monitors and other devices. His portfolio of US patents includes fitting tools that are now main stream such as modular and interchangeable hosels used by every major golf company. Don is also a noted author and journalist for golf periodicals. His articles were published by such noted magazines as GOLF MAGAZINE , SENIOR GOLFER, GOLF FOR WOMEN and GOLF TIPS MAGAZINE where he was a member of their distinguished equipment panel. Additionally, he is a former teacher of Golf Equipment classes at the PROFESSIONAL GOLFERS CAREER COLLEGE in Temecula California, an accredited institution. A fourth generation golfer, his family has accomplished greatness including major championship wins in the game with tour professionals coming from every one. Don taught both of his children to play and both became high level Division I NCAA players. His daughter, Hannah, is one of the best in the NCAA and women's amateur golf. In 2016 she participated in the Women's US OPEN to a respectable finish. Don’s ideas are coalesced into a broad concept he calls FINITE ELEMENT GOLF. This is a view of golf that breaks the entire game down into its smallest features but with a common thread; scoring consistently with the absence of slumps. This is the ethos of PGA tour players who Don was fortunate to observe at very close range and work with for most of his career. While not an advocate of major surgery of the golf swing, Don is a student of the game and well qualified in all major theories of the swing. But most regard him as a Sage of the short game and the mental artistry of PLAYING GOLF. He does not offer a “magic bullet” nor gimmicks, trendy or fashionable techniques. Everything is rooted in classical technique and fundamentals. He demands of his clients that they follow the practice regimens prescribed. Clients will be exposed to many other areas besides direct game intervention. Playing great golf requires understanding of equipment, the culture of the game, rules, its history, traditions and correlated arts. These aspects and others are a vital part of the curriculum. For the reasons above, Don limits his stable of clients to 6. His services aren't for everyone.

To arrange a personal interview and custom syllabus, Don can be contacted at:

Rynk Strothers grew up in southern California and makes his home in Englewood, Colorado. He is the president/director of instruction at the Pro-Link Golf School and a member of the PGA of America. His resume features over 20 years of instruction in the Denver Metro community.

In 2016, the Pro-Link Golf School created a team for the PGA Junior League. PGA Junior League is a very popular program that plays a 2 person scramble against another team. This program was so popular in the Summer, we created another session in the Fall! The Pro-Link Golf School team took the Championship in its Inaugural Season at Common Ground Golf Course in Aurora, Colorado.

Also, Rynk has been the driving force in getting golf established in Denver schools. With over 100 Golf In Schools programs that he has delivered, Rynk has reached close to 5,000 kids to this date. The Colorado PGA Golf in Schools is very successful in getting kids started in golf. His teaching philosophy is based on fundamentals of the golf swing. Once a student masters the grip, stance and setup, Rynk builds a players swing around their physical strengths and natural abilities. With analogies and drills, Rynk keeps it simple and fun to learn. Whether you are just learning the game or looking to be a competitive standout, an instruction program is waiting for you at the Pro-Link Golf School.
