Junior Coaching

ExperienceGolf® is proud to be the exclusive provider of golf coaching at CommonGround Golf Course. We have a joint mission with the Colorado Golf Association to create great athletes and mentally strong young adults through self-discovery techniques.  We provide a variety of programs with a clear pathway for overall growth by coaching the FUNdamentals and human performance skills.  Juniors will learn the rules, skills, and etiquette of golf through fun activities, games and competitions.

Top 50 LPGA Instructor, Elena King and her experienced staff bring a new holistic approach to golf coaching, providing cutting edge instruction and technology.

 

The Junior Golf Pathway has the following three levels of learning:

LEARN TO PLAY

 Ages 3-12

TRAIN TO COMPETE

 Ages 8-15

TRAIN TO EXCEL

 Ages 12-17

These programs are for the beginning golfer who is excited to learn the basic FUNdamentals of the game and develop skills in a structured, fun and challenging environment. On Course play is introduced, as well as rules, etiquette, core values and life skills.

Athletes begin to transition their fundamental skills into competition. Athletes will learn more intermediate skills with emphasis placed on golf course performance, including mental/emotional skills, course management, and scoring.

  • Operation36 Monthly Coaching Program

  • PGA Junior League

  • Train to Compete Week Long Camps

 
 

Athletes commit significant time to training and developing their game modeling all aspects of competition in their preparations. Emphasis is placed on developing advanced skills and optimization of performance on course to prepare the athlete for higher levels of competition.

Op36 Light BackgroundOperation36®  (Ages 7-17) 

The Junior Monthly Coaching Program at CommonGround Golf Course uses the Operation 36® framework to structure the program. It consists of Coaching, Playing, and Training programs and is designed to teach golfers to play the game from a hole out perspective. This program consists of a combination of Academy Classes, Supervised Practices and Operation36® Matches. Each golfer will be issued a profile in the Operation 36® Mobile App to track progress through a 6 level curriculum that is designed to set appropriate objectives and challenge each student towards shooting par or better for 9 holes.

Op36 Light BackgroundFuture 36ers  (Ages 3-6) 

The Future 36ers Program is designed to give juniors ages 3-6 a fun environment to learn to play the game of golf! This program’s purpose is to prepare juniors for the Operation 36® Program where we will begin to start measuring progress on the golf course.

Semester 1: Saturday's 9:00 am-10:00 am May 5th-June 23rd   *Sold out*   Register

Learn to Play Week Long Camps  (Ages 7-12)  

This week long camp is for the beginning golfer who is excited to learn the basic FUNdamentals of the game but have time constraints. Athletes will learn and develop skills in a structured, fun and challenging environment. On Course play is introduced, as well as rules, etiquette, core values and life skills.

Camp 1: June 18th-June 22nd 8:00 am-10:00 am       Register

Train to Compete Week Long Camps  (Ages 10-15) 

During the Train to Compete week long camp, athletes begin to transition their fundamental skills into competition in a condensed version of our Junior Monthly Coaching Program. Athletes will learn more intermediate skills with emphasis placed on golf course performance, including mental/emotional skills, course management and scoring.

PGAJL LogoPGA Junior League  (Ages 8-13)  

PGA Junior League Golf is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls ages 13 and under to learn and enjoy the game of golf. Much like other recreational league sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with their friends. Each team is captained by a PGA or LPGA Professional, who serves as the coach and is at the forefront of creating a welcoming environment for all to enjoy the game. PGA Junior League Golf utilizes a popular scramble format that creates a nurturing environment for learning and development - both on and off course.

Top 25 Master Coach in USA Award 002 1King/Wearner Junior Summer Coaching Program  (Ages 11-18) 

Trent Wearner and Elena King (both Top 25 Elite Junior Coaches in the USA) are teaming up to provide a unique coaching program for those interested in improving their skills, performing better ON course and playing on their high school team and even in college. This program is for ALL golfers that want to continue and grow with the game of golf.
